Game development and management is not a simple work to do including programming. Even a renowned, veteran developers need to invest and spend hours and hours just to understand.
Based on our judgment, we believed that it would take too much time for LevelUp and with the current state and competence, it would be impossible for them to provide the game service.
After all, we could not stand the thought of Grand Chase being poorly managed and condemned by the users. Instead, close the game and keep all the beautiful memories in our hearts and cherish the moment.
That was the reason why we decided not to sell Grand Chase. And there has been no further specific suggestion from LevelUp.

Honestly, i don’t care if would take too much time for LevelUp. I prefer to have a team trying to save the game than having something that i love dead as it is now.
Hi, I’m Arkee! I’m a self taught amateur artist from Brazil. I don’t know if you follow international news, but a lot has been going down here lately, ranging from a massive drought right in the region I live, energy companies cutting off the power - because a great deal of our electricity comes from water - a heat wave stronger than any heat wave I’ve experienced before and the economy is also not that great.
On top of that all, I’m currently unemployed. My mom doesn’t work and my sister is too young to work. So, my dad is the only person working in my house. But as I said, the economy isn’t the best at the moment and the place he works at is threatening to close down for good, before he can complete the process for retirement. I’m very scared because, if that happens, that puts our whole family in a very complicated situation as he won’t get his retirement nor will receive any money.
I’m hunting for jobs but I’m having little to no success at that, since all I have is proof that I concluded high school, a certificate from an electro eletronic course (I was a wild person during my high school years), no experience at all and I’m halfway through an English course. I can’t afford college at the moment.
So, while I don’t find myself a job, I’m opening commissions to have, at least, some sort of emergency fund in case the worst happens, so I can continue my English course for at least a few more months and pay for basic expenses (e.g. water, food, etc).
I accept payment through paypal (illusioneery@hotmail.com). And as mentioned above, I charge an extra 1 dollar for each extra character (sketching 2 characters would be $3, 3 colored characters would be $12, etc). I can - try - to draw/paint backgrounds but I’m not a very good background artist, I apologize.
And I should mention that I drew/painted that pikachu in a hurry. I’m usually better with lines/coloring. I’m not perfect, because nobody is perfect, but yeah.
Even if you can’t commission me, if you could reblog this post so it gets more views, I’d be eternally grateful for that. More views means more chances of me getting commissions, so that means a real bunch. I’m really desperate for commissions to be honest.

I want to thank all my friends who stayed with me to this end.
End that… Though it wasn’t the one that everyone wanted, was the end of a long walk of 7, almost 8 years, that made me make many friends.
Friendships that lasted years and I hope to continue to many others.
It was only because of this game that I joined the drawing area in a way more "serious", and it was because of it that I became what I am.
It was a kind of “flight” of the reality, that was always there, welcoming me in difficult times. But these hard times did rise over the years, and although I always hear “This sh*t will break, it’s past time”, I always tried to defend it with teeth and nails. That’s what we do for something that teaches us so much and gives us so much support and love, isn’t it?
It’s the end of a long journey. A long journey which has not ended the exact way we wanted. We haven’t found Elscud, finalized all the tyranny of Kaze’aze, recovered the peace at Elyos, found what were the forgotten memories of Lass, saw Zero defeating Duel or Veigas getting his revenge against Dio, Rin get help for her village, Edel find her brother or Uno achieve his goal to seek help.
We have not seen any of that or other things that this history has made us wish for so long. But still, it was good.
We learn great things with this chase. Things that those who truly love this history will carry in their hearts forever, as well as I will carry inside my heart those characters, which were so charismatics, that they made me be this way.
They made me love this game like i’ve never loved anything else.
That’s it, Chasers. Every minute on the side of each of you was an honor. An honor that l will take with me forever, together with this game, that even if it has reached this end, will never be forgotten. I will keep doing fanarts, because… The name itself justifies. I’m a fan. And every fan never stops loving it’s idol, even less in a sad time.

We’re crossing a really “critic path” at this moment. Grand Chase is having hard times, and we need your help.
Everyone is seeing, we are losing more and more servers through the world. At this moment, we just have Grand Chase North America, Grand Chase Brazil and Grand Chase Korea. There were a lot of servers that were closed, as Philippines and Thailand. I saw many people complaining about “how the game is dead”. We need to make something to restore our favorite game’s life.
Brazilian players started a chain spamming the hashtag “QueremosVerNossoJogoBrilharDeNovo” (or “WeWantToSeeOurGameShineAgain”) at a “new year” message that KOG posted at their page. After that, our friends from Grand Chase The World facebook group started a chain.
It’s very simple.
Just use the tag “NeverendingChase”, “LongLiveTheChase” or both of them and show all the love you have for this game, together with messages of support and demands, and post it on your own facebook profile, tumblr, twitter, whatever. Just don’t forget the hashtags.
Let’s make them make us excited with each game update, just like it happened years ago.
Things are getting really hard, but together, we can do it.
